Carrot Halwa (Gajar Ka Halwa) is a traditional Indian sweet made by slowly cooking freshly grated carrots with milk, sugar, and ghee. Flavored with cardamom and garnished with nuts, this rich and delicious dessert is especially popular during winter and festive occasions. - 4 cups 500g 4 cups grated red carrots (about 500 g)
- 2 cups 500ml Full fat milk
- 4 to 5 tablespoons Sugar or jaggery(adjust to taste)
- 3 tablesppons Ghee
- 3-4 green cardamom pods(powdered)
- 8 -10 cashews (chopped)
- 8-10 almonds (sliced)
- 3 - 5 raisins
